Jefferson County's total number of COVID-19 cases remained at 418 Thursday, according to Jefferson County Public Health.

The last two coronavirus cases reported in the county were both men, one in his 60s and the other in his 70s. One was a mid-county resident; the other lived in the south county area (Quilcene, Brinnon and West Jefferson).

Health officials received test results Thursday from 15 residents.

Another 44 residents are still awaiting test results.

Health officials said two people were still in isolation Thursday due to potential contact with people with COVID-19.

A total of 28 county residents have been hospitalized due to the coronavirus, and COVID-19 has claimed the lives of four residents since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

County health officials said 24,440 local tests for coronavirus have been reported since the pandemic began. A total of 23,978 have come back negative.

According to Jefferson County Public Health, 406 residents have recovered from the coronavirus.

People are considered "recovered" at 28 days from the onset of symptoms if they are alive and not hospitalized, according to the state Department of Health.
