Jed Russell (Russ) Robinson passed away on Aug. 8th at the age of 87.

Russ was born in Shelley, Idaho, on May 30, 1933. He came from a long line of Jed Robinsons because for decades, the first-born boy inherited the first name Jed.

Russ married and moved his family of six to Spokane, Washington, where he worked for Arden

Dairy and served in the National Guard. In 1970, he transferred to the Arden Dairy plant in Moses Lake and once again moved his family (wife Colleen Collins, sons Jed Steven and Richard and daughters Elaine and Christi).

Russ would travel back to Spokane to continue his career with the National Guard. He retired as a master sergeant in 1993. He was immensely proud of that accomplishment.

Russ loved to socialize and dance. He was a member and past president of the Moses Lake Eagles. The Eagles was a second family to him. Russ helped with many fundraisers and donated the large flagpole that is in front of the building now. Russ was also a loyal Seahawks fan. His house reflected his passion and was decorated everywhere with Seahawks decor.

Russ lived a full life. His first marriage ended and a couple of years later he met his second wife, Katherine (Kitty) Winslow. They both retired and began their 24 years of traveling with their dog. Russ loved his small dogs. They traveled to all 50 states, most in the RV and a couple by cruise ship.

A few years after his wife passed away, he made a final move from Moses Lake to Port Townsend so he could be closer to his daughter. Russ loved his new home and could be seen walking his dog Charlie a few times a day around the neighborhood and socializing with all the neighbors. Russ also was a member of the Port Townsend Elks and Marvin G Shields Legion.

Russ is survived by his daughter Christi (Gary) Kolsky; daughters-in-law Connie (Vinnie) Norton and Judy Adair; grandsons Jed Mike Robinson, Joey (Wendy) Brown, Paul (Donna) Robinson and Tony Robinson; granddaughter Stefanie (Eric) Basile; great-grandsons Austin Robinson and Logan Brown and great-granddaughter Abigail Rouse.

Russ was preceded in death by his sons Jed Steven and Richard (Richie) Robinson, daughter Elaine Anderson and granddaughters Michelle and Julie Cooper.

The family would like to thank the Life Care Center in Port Townsend for all their wonderful care.

There will be a graveside service with honors at the military cemetery in Medical Lake on September 10th at 1:30pm.
