Information nights planned for Running Start

Posted

Peninsula College will host a series of Running Start Information Nights in Port Townsend, Port Angeles, Forks, and via Zoom during February, March, and April this year.

Organizers of the events said they are designed to provide prospective Running Start students and their parents with an opportunity to learn more about the program and how high school juniors and seniors can earn college credit, tuition-free. They will also learn about strategies for success and what parents and families can do to be supportive.

Students and parents who wish to attend a Running Start Information Night on the main campus in Port Angeles are welcome at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 2 and Thursday, April 13. The information sessions and panel discussions will be held in  Peninsula College’s Little Theater, J Building. An optional campus tour will be offered beforehand at 6:30 p.m.

The Running Start Information Night in Port Townsend is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, at the Peninsula College Port Townsend campus at Fort Worden, 202 Eisenhower Ave.

The Forks session will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, in The Commons at Peninsula College Forks, 481 South Forks Ave.

Online Zoom sessions are also planned for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, and 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 22.
