Ian Anthony MillerMohn was born to Ruby Mohn and William Miller in Urbana, Illinois, on Dec. 4, 1981.

Ian moved to the Pacific Northwest with his mom and two of his siblings when he was a small child. He grew up on the Olympic Peninsula and graduated from Chimacum High School in 2000.

He could not wait to leave as a young adult and dreamed of one day coming home after having traveled all over the world.

Ian proudly served his country as a Gunnery Sergeant in the Marine Corps and retired in 2021 after 16 years of service. He enjoyed traveling, good food, and the Pacific Northwest. He also loved Guinea pigs, cats, and Corgis. He enjoyed all forms of martial arts, especially Jiu-Jitsu. He enjoyed playing D&D, Magic: The Gathering; and listening to really loud heavy metal.

He passed away unexpectedly at home, after a brief illness, on Dec. 28, 2021.

He is survived by his mother, Ruby Mohn; his father William Miller; aunts, Becky (Lukah) Brown, Julene (Daniel) Pommert, Anita (Ron) Fike, and Vee (Scott) Herrington; uncles Henry (Sue) Mohn and Arnold (Ana) Miller; sisters, Maya (Aragorn Deane) Moon and Sarah (Cody) Rennison; brother Brian Miller; nieces and nephews, Levi Rennison, Julian Frederickson, Freya Rennison, Aoife Rennison, and Henry Rennison; and numerous cousins, friends and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ceder Merrick; a cousin, Will Herrington; and grandparents, Henry and Patricia Mohn, and VC and Marguerite Miller.
