WRONG! HERE’S THE STORY by reporter Ron Dicker of Huff Post early last week: “A Fox News report criticizing Vice President Kamala Harris for not saluting the military honor guard at Air Force Two got plenty of backlash on Tuesday.
“Critics ripped the conservative news channel for stirring up false outrage, pointing out that the vice president is not in the military chain of command and was not violating protocol.
“Fox News wrote in a report on its website of Harris ‘appearing to break with precedent and failing to salute the honor guard’ when boarding the plane. It included insulting tweets from former NYPD Commissioner Bernard Kerik and right wing radio host Charlie Kirk, who showed a video of a recent Air Force Two approach and accused Harris of being disrespectful to men and women in uniform.”
Actually, even the commander-in-chief is not required to salute. The late President Ronald Reagan began the practice as a “matter of courtesy,” according to U.S. Naval War College professor Tom Nichols.
“Vice President Harris has made very clear her respect and admiration for the men and women of the military, as well as their families.” Dicker concluded.
It reminds me of a couple of Obamas and a Trump ago — about 12-plus years back, early 2009, when white sovereignty was spreading much of its mud via email over the internet. Trump was still maintaining that President Obama had been born in Kenya. A favorite on-stage photo making the dimwit rounds showed President Obama standing nonchalantly and in seeming disrespect for the flag as everyone else saluted.
Of course the reality was that a band was playing “Hail to the Chief” and Obama would have looked silly saluting himself.

The problem has been fixed. You can finish your sentence. Kamala Harris is a great American. She knows protocol.

I couldn't care less whether Harris salutes or doesn't salute. What I want to know is what is she doing to fix the crisis at our Southern border. Over a month ago President Biden appointed Harris to lead the administration's efforts to deal with the crisis at the southern border, a crisis they created, what has she done? Ever since Biden was elected there has been a surge of migrants and illegals crossing our southern border. You Trump haters were non-stop criticizing Trump for the way he was handling the problem, you tell me, how has Biden or Harris fixed anything. Let me guess, it's all Trump's fault, right?

Donald Trump spent four years pounding money down the rat-hole that was a fancy border wall with his name on it—while millions of people suffered for want of a decent meal on both sides of the border. He was a lot like the legendary King Canute who back in the 12th century sat on the beach and commanded the tide to stop its approach—only to have the oceans ignore his assumed authoritative grandeur.
So as our southern kin surge hopefully in quest of improved living in accordance with the establishment of a more compassionate administration, let’s give the reality of the problem a bit more than 30 days.

Trump did a hell of a lot better job protecting U.S. from those who would ignore and break our border laws, Biden hasn't a clue so he put's Harris in charge, how is that working out? "Border Patrol agents encountered more than 172,000 people trying to enter the US illegally along the border in March, up from the 100,441 who tried to cross in February, the agency said."(https://nypost.com/2021/04/08/illegal-immigrant-encounters-increased-71-percent-in-march-cbp/)
" kin"
n. One's relatives or family.
n. A relative or family member.
Really Tom? you have kin that cross our border illegally? maybe that explains your liberal attitude towards illegals. Once many, many conversations ago I asked if you would be willing to open your property and house for the homeless to set up camp in. As I recall you were not too interested.
"let’s give the reality of the problem a bit more than 30 days." You bet Tom, just as you Trump-haters gave Trump.
Hypocrite!

“Kith” or “kin” or whatever . . . Canadian, Mexican, whatever. My father was born in Canada; the mother of my lawn guy lives in Mexico. One of my grandsons was born in Thailand and a great granddaughter was born in South Korea.
A page-one headline in The Seattle Times this morning read “Legislature OKs $340M for state’s Immigrant Relief Fund." That’s more to my way of thinking when it comes to considering who’s related to.whom.
“That brings the total allocated so far, first by Gov. Jay Inslee and then by the Legislature, to $467 million believed to make this the second largest fund of its kind in the country behind New York.
"The fund provides payments to immigrants shut out of other forms of pandemic relief, like federal stimulus checks and unemployment insurance because they are not in the country legally. California and Oregon offer similar assistance . . .”
