Three all-star players from the East Jefferson Rivals football team trekked to Yakima last weekend for another taste of the gridiron over the off-season.
Rivals seniors Chris Fair (lineman), Logan Massie (running back), and Marshall Graves (lineman) participated in the 26th annual Earl Barden Classic football game at East Valley High School on June 25.
The senior stars lined up against the best of Eastern Washington’s 1A athletes, while they played for the West team.
The game ended with the East winning big over the West with a final score of 36-12.
Massie, Graves, and Fair were part of the Rivals’ potent “smash-mouth” offense that carried the team to the playoffs last year, with all three earning Nisqually League All-League selections and Massie earning the MVP award after EJ’s stellar 2021 season.
