Jefferson County commissioners have OK’d repairs to the Quilcene Community Center.
At their meeting last week, the board approved a contract for $26,750 with N&N Construction to remove old siding on the building that has been found to have dry rot.
A “significant number” of places on the upper siding of the exterior of the building are affected, according to the county.
Under the approved contract, N&N Construction will remove the siding that has failed, as well and supply and install new siding.
The siding on the community center will also be primed and painted.
