Nighttime travelers on US 101 between Gardiner and Port Angeles may face possible delays this week, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
Roadwork will prompt lane closures or shifted lanes.
Through the night of Friday, Aug. 26, state maintenance crews will repair sections of highway along an approximately 27-mile section of US 101.
Crews will work on small sections of the road each night from 6 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. beginning in Port Angeles near Morse Creek.
Crews will move east to Pierce Road near Gardiner.
Transportation officials noted that in areas where there are multiple lanes on the highway, travelers will see a lane shift or single-lane closure.
Farther east where the highway is one lane in each direction, travelers will see one-way alternating traffic with flaggers.
Paving work is weather-dependent and could be rescheduled, officials noted.
