A 31-year-old Bremerton man was hurt when his 2017 Hyundai Tucson went off the road at the Highway 19/Highway 20 interchange early Monday morning.
The injured driver was taken to St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale by an aid unit.
The man was driving north on Highway 19 just after 1 a.m. Oct. 31 when the Hyundai went onto eastbound Highway 20 and the driver failed to negotiate a turn went off the left side of the roadway, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The vehicle then hit multiple trees, then a boulder, before the Hyundai came to rest on its side.
Drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash, and the driver is facing charges of DUI, the State Patrol reported.
The vehicle was removed by Northwest Towing and Recovery and impounded.
