Naval Magazine Indian Island will have a training exercise Wednesday, Sept. 21, and people near the Navy installation may hear blank ammunition and announcements from the base’s loudspeaker notification system.
Navy officials also noted residents in nearby communities may also notice increased noise levels and activities associated with the training exercises Wednesday.
The Navy said security training is held at installations around the world to maintain readiness and the exercises help verify response procedures.
