The Washington Department of Health has closed Discovery Bay for recreational harvesting of all shellfish species, health officials announced last week.
The closure follows the testing of recent clam samples from Discovery Bay, which were positive for the biotoxin that causes paralytic shellfish poisoning (PSP).
