Local residents will get their first chance to learn and provide feedback for the city of Port Townsend’s planned Healthier Together Aquatics Center.
With an open house set from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 14 at the Fort Worden Commons, the city will share the aquatics center’s feasibility study and gather community feedback.
The event is one of multiple open houses that the city will conduct as part of Phase 2 of the project.
For people unable to attend the in-person event, Port Townsend will additionally host an online open house from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 16.
For more information on both events and to register, visit the city’s website at cityofpt.us/engagept/page/healthier-together.
Masks will be provided at the Tuesday in-person event for those who want to wear one. Childcare for the open house is currently pending, according to the city.
Study efforts for the planned pool and wellness center first began in February 2023 as the starting step in providing long-term infrastructure and opportunities for improving community health and wellness by building on previous collaborative efforts and meeting the evolving needs of the local community.
