The city of Port Townsend is set to start its second survey on the future of the Port Townsend Golf Course, along with unveiling some new concepts of potential usage of the 58-acre, city-owned property.
In its second open house, city staff unveiled four potential plans for the local golf course’s future: a restored golf course, a hybrid golf course, a space for nature, or a central park.
The city launched a second survey to gauge the community’s interests along with more context on the four golf course plans, which can be accessed by going to shorturl.at/kpGK2.
The survey will close at 5 p.m. Friday, May 12. Anyone seeking a paper copy of the survey can email city Parks Director Carrie Hite at chite@cityofpt.us.
Given the proximity of the Mountain View Commons campus to the golf course, the city could explore complementary uses and plans for both sites.
