Did you hear or read about in the Jan. 25 Leader the “State of the City” speech?
If you did, you may have noticed that there was some money for streets but not enough, some money for sewer repair but not enough, and working on funding for housing. They will be looking at the state’s increased car tab fees and sales tax revenues.
There was no mention of money for all the things you were told you could have at Mountain View. That is because currently there is none.
So why encourage you to think of all the wonderful things you want, knowing they do not even have enough money for streets, sewers, and housing?
