Citizen Science: Migratory Shorebird Count at Irondale Beach County Park

Posted by mcote@jclibrary.info

Help scientists count local migratory shorebirds on our coasts! Following last month's presentation of the PBS documentary Flyways, we initiated a project to collect data on migratory shorebirds on the Olympic Peninsula’s coasts. Join volunteers of the Admiralty Audubon Society and fellow Citizen Scientists to count migratory shorebirds this fall. Please dress for the weather! Rain ponchos will be available upon request. Irondale Beach County Park is located at 353 1st Avenue in Port Hadlock.
Phone apps eBird and Merlin are required. Please plan to arrive early at 2:00 pm if you need assistance downloading these apps.
