The Social Justice Team of First Presbyterian Church is inviting electric car drivers to try out the Level 2 Charging Station at the church in Port Townsend.
The station was recently installed by Power Trip Energy of Port Townsend. The two-outlet station can be found in the center of the church parking lot at 1111 Franklin St.
Drivers can plug into an hour per session, which will increase their vehicle’s charge level up 25 miles. Drivers can wait for a second charge if another driver comes by to use the station.
According to the church’s Social Justice Team, the charging station is part of the larger effort to reduce carbon emissions, ease strain on the planet, and, with a nod to Apache wisdom, to roll more gently through the world.
