Chapman reacts to first vote tally on Election Night | 2022 Primary Election

After initial election results for Washington’s Legislative District 24, Position No. 1 seat showed Democrat incumbent Mike Chapman on top with 60 percent of the vote, he reacted to the news, saying, "I’m very humbled at the support."

"It shows hard work on behalf [of] the district [and] seems to be appreciated by our constituents,” Chapman added.

Chapman had 60.21 percent of the vote.

In second place was Republican candidate Sue Forde who had 27.08 percent of the vote, while Republican Matthew Rainwater had 12.65 percent of the vote.

Chapman and Forde will move on the the General Election in November.
