I have been disappointed by The Leader’s coverage of this year’s Rhody Festival.
In the past there have been pages of colorful photos of the myriad of events and the people of our town participating in them. This year, there were indeed some photos, but coverage of the weekend was much reduced. I was unimpressed by the full-page photos entitled “Small talk at the bar top” that was only elaborated upon with “Rhody revelers take a moment to chat in Uptown.” Why is sitting and chatting in a bar more newsworthy than the unmentioned Rhody Run? What happened to the full page of Rhody Run Results and photos that celebrate the athletic portion of the festival?
Please bring back a fuller and more robust coverage of this annual festival.
