Tina L. Woods, wanted for burglaries up and down the Olympic Peninsula, was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 8 in her home near Bremerton in Kitsap County.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies had received a tip that Woods had been seen near the home. However, she did not appear to be on the premises when they began to execute a search warrant for evidence linking Woods to various burglaries.
After about an hour and a half of gathering evidence, the search moved to a very full bedroom. Opening a dresser, deputies found that dresser drawer faces were in place, but the drawers themselves had been removed. Woods was hiding inside the piece of furniture.
Woods was arrested, as was her husband on a warrant out of Kitsap county.
Woods is suspected of involvement in more than 40 burglaries over the last few years, according to Jefferson County. Items allegedly stolen include cars, boats, money, computers and jewelry. Woods currently occupies a cell in Kitsap County Jail.
