The American Association of University Women will hold a silent auction next week to support scholarships and mission-related projects for women and children in the community.
The fundraiser is planned for 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18 at the Port Townsend Elks Lodge.
People will have a chance to bid on unique experiences and themed baskets.
AAUW Port Townsend and its University Women’s Foundation of Jefferson County, a nonprofit organization, is committed to making a significant impact on education and equity through scholarships, elementary school projects in literacy and math, and other mission-related projects.
This year, the organization provided more than $50,000 to women and girls from east Jefferson County including technical school, college, high school, middle school, and pre-school students as well as materials to support the state of Washington Native education curriculum.

The Port Townsend Elks Lodge is located at 555 Otto St. The auction will only accept checks or cash, and masks are required and available at the door.
