Oh, you mean the "historic exercise gym" that has done everything humanly possible to make sure we don't get a nice big YMCA facility that we desperately need? Cry me a river. The sense of entitlement is hrotesque. Look at who's asking for handouts, now! Newsflash: The people living in shelters, RVs and tents in and around the city, are just this desperate as well. But when they ask for help, they are told they must only get a "hand up, not a hand out". So the desperation of one group trumps that of the other? It's the same desperation. I sincerely hope some of the business owners in this area learn some genuine compassion from this experience. I sincerely hope they look around and see that this community does not exist to keep them in business. Maybe if they would stop buying fancy coffee and eating avocado toast, they could afford to stay in business!
