Speaking of systems a few years ago I had jury duty and really couldn't spare the time from my business to hear a case where a guy beat up his mother. Allegedly. Of course they had the wrong son.

When the marginal public defender asked the jury pool if they believed you are innocent until proven guilty, I replied that I did not. Everyone else automatically nodded yes. Why no, I was asked. They had the guy in custody before the trial I answered. Presumed innocent he would have been chillin' at home.
