Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners is soliciting applications from residents to serve on the Board of Health. With expanded rules on local boards of health per HB 1152, we are seeking candidates for the “Consumer of Public Health” role. This is defined as someone who has faced significant health inequities and/or has lived experiences with public health programs. Non-elected members of the Board of Health serve terms of three years. Jefferson County residents who are interested in serving in the Consumer of Public Health position should submit a written Statement of Interest to the Jefferson County Commissioners Office, 1820 Jefferson Street, PO Box 1220, Port Townsend, WA 98368.
