A rapidly growing IT and networking company based in Port Townsend is seeking a qualified technician. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a dynamic, skilled, and fun team in beautiful Port Townsend. We are also expanding into Clallam County. We have a large, established base of business clients who provide new challenges on a daily basis. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a technician with strong workstation troubleshooting and maintenance skills, bonus points if familiar with Windows Server and network design. This position does require a valid Driver's License and reliable motor vehicle transport. (Not a motorcycle.) An ideal candidate should be: - Able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently - Eager to learn - Great with clients - Timely and efficient - Reliable and trustworthy - Experienced with Windows operating systems - Able to troubleshoot printers and other peripherals - Skilled with virus protection and removal, backups, etc. - Familiar with firewalls, routers, DNS Servers, etc. Daily responsibilities include: - Focus on making every work hour a profitable hour for The Company. - Follow all company standards and procedures as currently documented. - Track all work -- billable or not. - Provide an excellent example of customer service on all levels for the company. - Share technical knowledge and help mentor fellow techs wherever possible. - Work Service Tickets as assigned according to The Company workflow procedures - Provide clients with one-on-one or one-to-many customer service as needed. - Review time card to ensure it is being kept up to date in real time. - Check in with the Service Manager or the acting supervisor at the end of the day to report general status and any issues needing attention.
