An Oregon man injured last week in a one-car crash on U.S. Highway 101 south of Quilcene died Thursday morning at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Joshua D. Abdon, 39, of Stayton, Oregon was traveling south on US 101 just after 3 a.m. Oct. 14 when his 2003 Ford Escape went off the road as it approached a sharp curve toward the left in the highway near Milepost 300.
The car went into the ditch on the south side of the road, came back onto the highway, went across both lanes, spun around, and then hit a large tree next to the ditch on the other side of the roadway.
The Ford was totaled in the crash.
Drugs or alcohol appeared to be a factor, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The car was removed from the scene by All City Autobody & Towing.
