Two new cases of COVID-19 in Jefferson County were reported Tuesday afternoon by public health officials.
The pair of infections pushed the cumulative total of coronavirus cases in the county to 328.
The new cases reported Feb. 16 involved a person in their 50s, and a person in their 60s. A man and a woman were both infected with COVID-19.
One case involved a Port Townsend resident, and the other case was a mid-county resident.
Public health officials are no longer providing individual case details, so information on the man's age and place of residence were not available, as well as additional details on the woman who tested positive for COVID.
Health officials announced that eight people remain in isolation. Four residents were still awaiting COVID-19 test results Tuesday.
County health officials reported Feb. 16 that 280 residents in the county have recovered from COVID-19. A total of 23 residents have been hospitalized after getting the coronavirus, and two deaths in Jefferson County have been attributed to the disease since the start of the pandemic.
According to Jefferson County Public Health, a total of 18,610 tests have been administered for the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic, and 18,278 tests have come back negative.
Through Tuesday, 152 COVID cases have been found in Port Townsend residents; 147 in mid-county residents; and 29 in south county (Quilcene, Brinnon, and West Jefferson).
Based on gender, 167 males have tested positive for COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic in Jefferson County, and 161 females have tested positive.
