Two new cases of COVID-19 were discovered in Jefferson County over the weekend, the Washington State Department of Health reported Sunday afternoon.
The confirmation of an additional two infections increased the total number of coronavirus cases in Jefferson County from 72 on Friday to 74 Sunday.
The county's number of COVID-19 cases had hovered at 71 from Sept. 14 until last Thursday, a span of 17 days that saw the county without a new positive test for the disease.
