Two Clallam County residents were hurt when their Honda SUV went off the road and rolled over on U.S. Highway 101 near Brinnon Thursday.
According to the Washington State Patrol, a 21-year-old Sequim man was driving a 1995 Honda Passport south on US 101 near Milepost 302 when he hit the embankment on one side of the highway just before 7:30 p.m. Oct. 27.
The Honda rolled multiple times then came to rest on its top between the north and southbound lanes on US 101. The driver was speeding too fast for conditions, according to the State Patrol.
The driver, as well as a 19-year-old woman from Port Angeles, were both injured. The man was taken to Jefferson Healthcare Medical Center in Port Townsend.
The passenger was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The wreck shut down the highway for two hours.
The Honda was totaled in the crash, according to the State Patrol. It was removed from the scene by All City Auto Body & Towing.
