Two people were taken into custody and one victim transported to the hospital after a stabbing aboard the ferry M/V Kennewick Wednesday night, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The Port Townsend ferry was placed into a lockdown following the stabbing, and police activity prompted the cancellation of the last round-trip sailing between Port Townsend and Coupeville.
The stabbing took place shortly after 8 p.m. Sept. 9, according to officials with the Washington State Patrol.
Port Townsend Police Chief Troy Surber said his department responded to the call and took a man and a woman into custody following the incident. Surber added that both were booked into Jefferson County Jail.
Gabriel Thomas Dignum remained in custody in the Jefferson County Jail Thursday. He is being held on charges of violating community custody, obstructing a law enforcement officer, unlawful carrying of a weapon capable of bodily harm, and first-degree assault.
