It’s a major accomplishment. “An exceptional team of young athletes made waves this year with 25 gymnasts qualifying for the Washington State Championships — an extraordinary milestone for a team from our small but determined community,” Lee Paranada writes in a release for The Leader.

“What sets this group apart is not just the medals — though they brought home an incredible 39 from State and 2 more from Regionals — but the heart, discipline, and unity they bring to the sport. These athletes train year-round, pushing through challenges, lifting each other up, and striving for personal bests.”

The Twisters competed against more than 70 teams from across Washington at the State Competition, and held their own at Regionals, going toe-to-toe with athletes from an additional 34 teams from Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, and Oregon.

State Championship Athlete Highlights include Paisley Bergen — Level 3: State VT 7th, BS 2nd, BM 10th, FX 3rd — and clinched 1st Place All-Around to become a state champion! Her standout performance was a shining moment for the team and a huge accomplishment for this rising star.
