Thomas L. Hall, born September 12, 1935 passed peacefully in his home on March 4, 2025, with his daughter, Heidi, by his side.
Born to Bernice Faye McAlpine and Harold John Hall in Custer Township, Michigan, Tom graduated from Chimacum High School in 1954. He joined the US Army shortly thereafter. Tom proudly served his country, traveling all over the world, and retired as a highly decorated Staff Sargent in 1975. After his retirement from the Army, Tom returned to his home in Washington and worked for several local businesses and Trident Seafoods in Alaska.
Tom retired from the private sector in 1996 and enjoyed traveling with his wife, Linda, until her passing in 2008. Dad loved working on cars, reading, telling stories, and going to the casino. He loved Patsy Cline and a good western movie. His final years were quiet and spent mostly at home with his daughter and grandson. He was especially proud of his 1986 El Camino and took one great final road trip with his son, Ron, to Pennsylvania last summer. What a trip that was!
Dad was a proud member of the fraternal order of Free and Accepted Masons, The Order of the Eastern Star, and Rakers Car Club.
Tom is survived by his sisters, Marci Wootan and Barbara MacAlpine, his 4 children, Ron, Jennifer, Laurie, and Heidi, 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, with which he was very close to.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at the Nordland Garden Club from 1-3pm. Please bring your favorite memory or story about Tom to share. Dad was a great storyteller, and his family would very much like to hear your tales of the adventures he shared with you.
