I would like to complement the fire department for putting out all those “Fire Danger” signs. Jefferson County does not have the road side burns you see in other counties caused by thoughtless people throwing lit cigarette butts out the car window. Also the people in Jefferson County realize the risk of a forest fire in Jefferson County and are doing their part to prevent a wild fire.
On that very hot day I developed heart exhaustion and was transported to the ER at the Jefferson Healthcare hospital. They gave me a IV of fluid and brought my core temperature down to normal and sent me home. These are wonderful people whose jobs are made difficult by an aging population with complex medical problems.
Again listen to our health department. The COVID-19 pandemic is not over; 97 percent of the people in King County where Seattle is located that are coming down with COVID-19 do not have any vaccinations.
I have a friend that was radically against vaccination. He is in intensive care in another state and has been for two months.
With the new mutations that are even more contagious, the choice is to get vaccinated or get the virus. We are very fortunate to have an excellent hospital and an excellent health department that are working hard to keep us healthy.
