Thank you so much for the wonderful article on the Give Jefferson Campaign in the Nov. 13 issue of The Leader.
Give Jefferson has been important to so many of our local non-profits, including the one I’m writing about, St. Vincent de Paul.
In the article you noted that St. Vincent de Paul assists with essential bills. What we primarily focus on is essential needs like food to eat, gas for the car, propane for heat — needs that can be addressed immediately. 99% of the money that is given to SVdP goes to our neighbors.
Our all volunteer work force helps 30 to 40 families per week with basic needs.
Thank you for bringing attention to Give Jefferson and specifically St. Vincent de Paul. We appreciate every donation.
Donations help in our efforts to support our neighbors in Jefferson County.
