After a nearly year-long dearth of youth athletics, sports are set (as of now) to return to Port Townsend High School in February.
In keeping with the modified Washington Interscholastic Activities Association four-season calendar, Season 2 (which extends from Feb. 1 to March 21) will include basketball and wrestling.
Football, though technically listed among the Season 3 offerings, is slated to begin March 8.
Would-be participants in need of a physical are asked to plan ahead. According to the school’s website, the clinic is open from noon to 3 p.m. Tuesdays. To make an appointment, call 360-385-9400, ext. 3.
Season 3 sports — volleyball, cross country, and girls swimming and soccer — are planned from March 15 to May 2.
Season 4 will include baseball, track, golf, and boys soccer, and will run April 26 to June 13.
