The 2024–2025 athletic season was filled with remarkable achievements across many sports for the East Jefferson Rivals. From state qualifiers to historic records being set, our student-athletes had a successful year of sports.
Fall Celebrations
Boys Cross Country
Eight athletes qualified for the State Meet in Pasco, WA, placing 7th overall. The qualifiers were: Joshua Yearian; Noah Isenberg; Dustin Hines; Nico Errichetti; Rainier Smith Williams; Zeke Banks; Atom Barrett and Kepler Edmundson.
Coach Alice Fraser was honored as Nisqually Boys Cross Country Coach of the Year.
Girls Cross Country
Four athletes qualified for the State Meet in Pasco, WA. The qualifiers were: Hilina Taylor-Lenz; Michael Gregg; Clara Camp and Leah Ferland
Girls Swim and Dive
Five athletes qualified for the State Meet in Federal Way, WA: Bella Ferland; Stella Bosley; Ursula Schmidt; Akeyla Behrenfeld; Serena Hanbey-Perless.
Winter Celebrations
Girls Basketball
The team had a thrilling postseason, making a deep run into the West Central District 3 Playoffs, and falling just one win short of a State Tournament berth.
Girls Wrestling
In a season to remember, the Rivals won the West Central District 3 Championship and sent five wrestlers to the State Tournament at the Tacoma Dome; Savvy Grimm; Gracee Liske — 2nd place overall; Lavender Douglas; Grace Ayer; and Lenore Geelan.
Boys Wrestling
Matching the girls’ success, five boys qualified for the State Tournament at the Tacoma Dome: Manaseh Lanphear Ramirez; Grady White — 6th place overall; Rylen Kruse; Silas Klontz; and Mason Iverson (Quilcene) — 4th place overall.
Spring Celebrations
Girls Track and Field
Eight athletes qualified for the State Meet in Yakima, WA, with several earning medals and breaking long-standing PTHS records: Kaida Rodrigues; Kaydence Plotner; Arden Moore — 4th place in 300m hurdles; Clara Camp; Carina Shiflett; Abby O’Keefe; Sienna Emerson and Avery Dean.
The 4x100m relay team (Clara Camp, Carina Shiflett, Sienna Emerson, and Kaida Rodrigues) earned 7th place, and the 4x200m relay team (Clara Camp, Carina Shiflett, Abby O’Keefe, and Kaida Rodrigues) also placed 7th, while breaking a PTHS record that had stood for 48 years in the prelims.
Girls Golf
June Harper qualified for the State Tournament in Liberty Lake, WA.
