The Jim Caldwell Memorial Golf Classic will return to the links at the Port Townsend Golf Course this weekend.

The two-day event, presented by the Port Townsend Golf Club, is at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 21 and continues at 9 a.m. Sunday, May 22.

The golf tournament supports the Rhododendron Festival Scholarship Fund.

Last year’s golf classic saw a field of nearly 70 golfers, and brought in more than $6,000, the largest amount the tourney has ever raised.

On Saturday, the golf classic will feature individual competition for gross, net, and Callaway scores, as well as longest putt and longest drive in both men’s and women’s play.

The entry fee is $35 for members, and $45 for nonmembers, and includes a $5 donation to the Rhododendron Festival.

On Sunday, the tournament features two-person best ball in men and ladies’ divisions, as well as men and ladies’ closest to the pin. There is also an optional cash honey pot.

The entry fee on Sunday is also $35 for members, and $45 for nonmembers, and includes a $5 donation to the Rhododendron Festival.
