Quilcene cruised to a win in girls varsity volleyball on the road against Crescent as the Rangers won the first three games, 25-17, 25-15, 25-16.
Senior right side hitter Olivia Benson paced the Ranger attack, serving 8/9 and ending the evening with three aces, three kills, eight digs, and a block.
Junior outside hitter Bridget Hitt served 23/23, seven of them aces. She also had three kills and 13 digs.
Shelby Love, the Rangers’ junior libero, served 16/16 with four aces. She added one attack and 18 digs.
Megan Jones, a junior right side hitter, added a kill and a dig.
Sophomore middle hitter Savannah McBride served 6/6 with two aces against the Loggers. McBride also had seven kills, 14 digs, and two assists.
Sophomore Ashley Jones, an outside hitter for Quilcene, served 8/9 with one. She also contributed two kills and nine digs to the winning effort.
Freshman setter Stormie Elkins served 10/11 with one ace. She finished with four kills, 11 assists, and 11 digs.
Quilcene Coach Cailey Snyder said the Rangers were working with a new rotation and as they played and got more comfortable with it, their hitting and strategic games led them to make smart plays that led them to a victory.
