Raising pints, and dollars

For the first time since 2019, BrewFest was celebrated in the garden at Port Townsend Brewing. The event, held Saturday, is an annual fundraiser put on by the Edensaw Community Cancer Foundation. Since the fund was created in 2007, it has helped 326 cancer patients in East Jefferson County with over $388,726 in financial assitance, according to the non-profit.

This year’s event raised $45,575 in donations. According to the foundation, they are focused on raising funds to help local individuals and families who are affected by the ravages of cancer.

During the Saturday event, Ferris held a portion of the event in honor of his late friend and co-worker, Jim Argetis,  who died earlier this year of complications from cancer.
