Pro bono lawyers offer free legal advice

Clallam-Jefferson County Pro Bono Lawyers will host a virtual legal aid clinic Saturday, April 10.

The free program will offer legal advice for members of the public, and give people the chance to talk about their civil legal issues in one-on-one consultations with volunteer lawyers. The clinic is geared to help those who are financially unable to otherwise access a lawyer.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, consultations will be done by phone or by Zoom conference.

Attorney volunteers will be available from 10 a.m. to noon April 10 to answer legal questions, direct people to local services that might be able to help, and to explain the legal process.

Clients must pre-register for the event by calling 360 504 2422 or by emailing probonolawyers@gmail.com or probonomary@gmail.com.

People are asked to register no later than Tuesday, April 6.

Once registered, additional directions for the event date will be provided. Attendees are also encouraged to have relevant legal documents with them during their consultation.

For more information, call Shauna Rogers McClain at 360-504-2422 or email probonolawyers@gmail.com, or call Mary Margolis at 360-504-2422 or email probonoMary@gmail.com.
