Port Townsend Sunrise Rotary has named Isabella Nunn and Zoe Prudent the club’s Students of the Month for January.
Both students are seniors at Port Townsend High School and were recognized for excellence in academic competition and drama, according to the Rotary.
Each month, the Rotary highlights a different element of student life to recognize the diversity of student achievement.
Teachers and staff chose the students based on three criteria: investment of personal time for mastery of performance, team leadership and willingness to take on challenges that street person abilities.
Nunn is ASB president, while Prudent is an editor for Redhawk Review, a student publication.
Both students have been involved in mock trial since middle school, working with local lawyers, judges and a faculty advisor to prepare to compete regionally and at state, and starred in the high school’s production of Little Shop of Horrors.
After graduation, Nunn plans to take a gap year before pursuing higher education, while Prudent plans to study neurobiology at university.
