The Port Townsend Police Department received a total of 176 calls between Friday, Nov. 4, and Thursday, Nov. 10. Below are selected reports.

Officers were notified and the situation was handled without police assistance.

At 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, in the 2500 block of Evans Vista, officers arrested a woman with an outstanding warrant. The woman was homeless, and was located in the nearby parking lot when officers found her. Her warrant was for failure to appear in court for a disorderly conduct charge.

At 7:45 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, a business in the 1500 block of West Sims Way had been burglarized while the property was without power. Windows and doors of the store had been kicked in, with multiple automotive tools being taken along with a computer monitor. The crime is still under investigation.

At 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, juvenile shoplifters in the 400 block of Sims Way were reported by employees after putting items in bags in the parking lot. Officers contacted the kids and trespassed them from the store, and their parents were notified.

At 8 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, an unwanted person was reported in the 200 block of Monroe Street after refusing to leave a shelter.

She was combative and defensive toward staff members, and potentially has mental health issues. Officers spoke with the woman and she agreed to leave on her own.

At 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, in the 600 block of Hancock Street, officers responded to an unwanted person at a nearby apartment complex.

Neighbors reported a man climbing up a balcony and breaking into apartments. The alleged suspect had a history of break-ins at the complex, and officers searched the area. Nobody was located and there was no sign of any break-ins. Officers thought the call was mistakenly made, as a maintenance worker had been on the same balcony earlier.

At 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, in the 2500 block of Evans Vista, officers searched for a man wanted on a warrant from Port Angeles for violating his probation. The officers found him behind a building and arrested him.

During his arrest, officers located two small bags of methamphetamine and a meth pipe. He was booked into jail.
