LD Richert has been chosen to fill the vacancy on the Jefferson County Planning Commission.
County commissioners appointed Richert, a Port Hadlock resident, to fill the seat at the commissioners’ meeting last week.
Richert will serve in the position that was left empty by the recent resignation of Mike Miller.
Miller was one of three District 2 representatives on the nine-member commission.
Richert will be a District 2 representative until March 2024, when a replacement or reappointment will take place.
