Port Townsend Police responded to a total of 189 calls from Sept. 8-15, and conducted 30 traffic stops.
Calls such as domestic violence and suicides are left out of the call log, so as not to retraumatize victims and loved ones.
Sept. 8: Officers responded to a traffic collision that caused property damage. No injuries.
Sept. 9: Officers handled a theft from Safeway.
Sept. 10: Officers arrested a woman for assaulting others at Safeway.
Sept. 12: Officers responded to a large party of teenagers at a new building site in town. Large quantities of alcohol were seized, parents were called and many DUIs were prevented.
Sept. 13: Officers responded to an assault at a gas station. The suspect fled on foot, was chased by officers and was eventually taken into custody at McDonald’s.
• Officers responded to a woman threatening to kill a bystander with a knife. The suspect ran from police, was caught and was booked into jail.
Sept. 15: Officers arrested an individual for violating a no-contact order.
