PDA opinions missing an important point | Letter to the editor

I think that all the pro and con opinions about Dave Robison’s managerial performance for the Fort Worden PDA are missing an important point: Having one skill doesn’t guarantee that you have other skills.

It’s clear that Dave has a proven skill for fundraising and bringing wealthy donors on board with projects.

It’s equally clear that Dave has proven to not have adequate skills for project and personnel management.

We can recognize and be grateful for what Dave has contributed to the community by using his excellent skills. We can also recognize where Dave was operating beyond his skill level and hope that, in the future, the folks who do the hiring have proven skills in that important function.
