In his column in The Leader of Sept. 30, Bill Mann expressed support for Port Townsend/Jefferson County to move to Phase Three of COVID-19 restrictions, i.e. to open up more.
Mr. Mann pitched the very same idea in a post on the social medium NextDoor Port Townsend on Sept. 23.
Within a few days he had 60 responses from about 20 local residents. Not a one supported his suggestion. Many explained why it is a bad idea. Mr. Mann chose not to acknowledge this opposition in his column.
His right, of course, but a shame nonetheless.
