Two new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Jefferson County Wednesday by Jefferson County Public Health.
The county's total number of coronavirus cases rose to 424 on June 9, according to health officials.
The last two coronavirus infections reported in the county were discovered in a man and a woman. One resident is in the 60-to-69 age range, while the other is in the 70-to-79 age range.
One resident lives in Port Townsend, while the other is a mid-county resident.
Health officials received test results Wednesday from 41 residents.
Another 35 residents are still awaiting test results.
Health officials said seven residents were still in isolation Wednesday due to potential contact with people with COVID-19.
A total of 29 county residents have been hospitalized due to the coronavirus, and COVID-19 has claimed the lives of four residents since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
County health officials said 24,808 local tests for coronavirus have been reported since the pandemic began. A total of 24,349 have come back negative.
According to Jefferson County Public Health, 409 residents have recovered from the coronavirus.
People are considered "recovered" at 28 days from the onset of symptoms if they are alive and not hospitalized, according to the state Department of Health.
