A security training exercise is planned for Naval Magazine Indian Island later this week, the Navy announced Tuesday.
Training activities will take place Thursday, Jan. 14, and include the use of blank ammunition, loud sirens and bright blue flashing lights near the main gate of the Navy installation.
The Navy said residents who live in the communities surrounding Indian Island may notice increased noise levels and activities associated with the training exercise.
