Master Gardeners announce plant sale

Posted

The Jefferson County Master Gardener Foundation will hold its annual plant sale online this year.

The sale runs from Monday, April 26 through Wednesday, May 5 at https://jcmgf.square.site/. All sales will be by credit or debit card, and the catalog on the website will be posted Monday, April 26.

Organizers of the benefit said volunteer Master Gardeners have been busy for months selecting, seeding and propagating close to 5,000 plants, including small trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, ground covers, vegetables, fruits, and succulents.

The offerings include plants ranging in size from 2-inch seedlings to mature trees, as well as colorful annuals and perennials. All plants are grown and cared for by master gardeners under the best conditions, according to the foundation, and include many varieties not available at local nurseries.

No onsite sales will be offered this year. Curbside pickup for the online sale will take place at the Tri Area Food Bank, 760 Chimacum Road, Port Hadlock, on Saturday, May 15.

The fundraiser supports the Jefferson County Master Gardener Program and agricultural grants for schools and other nonprofit organizations.

Any orders not picked up will be donated to community organizations.
