She was preceded in death by husband Paul Muller and son Laurits, parents Edgar and Martha Ozmon, sister Elizabeth Jane Foeller, brother E. Raymond Ozmon. She is survived by daughter Elise Muller-Lindgren (Clifford) and grandsons Gustav Muller (Jessica), Benjamin Muller (Tiffany), Nels Lindgren and adored great grandchildren Skyler and Nolan Muller, Lilabeth, Beck, Silvie Muller, Adyliana and Pangaea Lindgren.

She was politically active and served as Hennepin County DFL chairwoman. In Washington DC she lobbied Minnesota representatives to vote for the Voting Rights Bill, with the help and support of Sen. Eugene McCarthy. She, along with husband Paul and a handful of activists met in her home to organize Minnesotans to travel to DC to participate in the March on Washington. Senators Hubert Humphrey and McCarthy had a bus awaiting their plane which delivered the MN delegation to the very front of the demonstration where they heard Martin Luther King's "l Have a Dream" speech.

A few years later, Marilyn and husband Paul moved to Tryon, NC looking for a more moderate climate because of his poor health. After his death, she moved to Port Townsend, WA to be closer to her daughter. She returned to Minneapolis July 2014. She was glad to be back home
