Many blessings for Thanksgiving holiday | Letter to the editor

Posted

I wanted to share the blessings that I will be giving thanks for this past pandemic year of both challenges, small and large joys, and the kindness of strangers.

The bus drivers at Jefferson Transit as well as the Dial-a-Ride drivers who take patience and care dropping me and others at doctor appointments.

The poets and artists who keep creating works of art to stir my imagination as well as reminding me to honor my own creative music and poems.

The grocery store clerks who smile at me and take time to find ways to make my packages not too heavy.

The Port Townsend library for finding books and opening the library  for each of us who treasure books.

The Rose Theater and Rocky for opening with films to awaken my mind and heart.

My dog for sharing her faithful love and support just be being there for me.

Living in Port Townsend where I have lived since 1991 surviving and thriving in spite of being alone; each of us brings light into one another’s lives by reaching out of ourselves.

Be blessed on Thanksgiving for all acts of kindness, respect and justice.
